Pacific Rim Releases a Fourth Entry in the Franchise. Here’s What You Need to Know.

Warning: contains potential spoilers for Pacific Rim: Final Breach!

A new entry in the Pacific Rim franchise has arrived, one promising the ultimate showdown between humanity and the kaiju. In 2013, visionary director Guillermo del Toro gave the world Pacific Rim. An unabashed love letter to television shows and movies such as Ultraman and Godzilla, Pacific Rim was a hit with audiences, and another feather in Del Toro’s cap.

The movie, starring Charlie Hunnam and Idris Elba, brought the kaiju film into the modern era in America. Hunnam played Raleigh Becket, a mecha (here called “Jaegers”) pilot who must turn back a deadly kaiju invasion. Even though Becket was seemingly successful, the kaiju nevertheless returned in a sequel five years later, titled Pacific Rim: Uprising. John Boyega stepped into the mecha pilot role for Uprising, playing Jake Pentecost, the son of Idris Elba’s character from the first film. However, Uprising did not fare well at the box office, or with critics.

This was not the end of the franchise, though, as an animated series, titled The Black. The Black, airing on Netflix, is considered the franchise’s third entry, and follows the adventures of two sisters who steal a Jaeger to locate their missing parents. The series received praise from critics, and it was followed by a graphic novel from Legendary Comics, called Pacific Rim: Blackout. These subsequent entries prove the franchise still has plenty of stories to tell, and now ScreenRant is pleased to bring fans a first look at Final Breach, the newest addition to the lore.

Legendary Comics has released Pacific Rim: Final Breach, written by Joshua Hale Fialkov and drawn by EJ Su. Final Breach brings back Raleigh Becket back to the franchise. The solicitation for the graphic novel reads as follows:

This will be the first meeting of Becket and Jake Pentecost, uniting two generations of Jaeger pilots. Legendary has also provided sample pages, shared here.

The preview pages paint a grim picture for humanity. Once again, the kaiju are on the move, and this time, there might be no stopping them. The kaiju, whose movements were largely confined to the Pacific Ocean, are now able to strike anywhere on Earth. In one of the pages provided, a kaiju is seen emerging in Paris, France. In another, multiple tiny spider-like kaiju infest a city. Earth is once again facing imminent destruction, and Becket and Pentecost must rally to save it.

Final Breach Is Giving Pacific Rim Fans Exactly What They Want

Although the Pacific Rim franchise deals with amazing-looking kaiju, it never loses sight of the humans menaced by the monsters. Final Breach will continue this emphasis. Becket, who, as the press release points out, is the only human to survive in the Anterverse (the dimension the kaiju live in) but apparently it rattled him so badly, he went into exile. Hunnam brought empathy and humanity to the role of Becket, and Final Breach continues this character development.

The addition of Jake Pentecost to Final Breach is a welcome development, providing a link between the two Pacific Rim movies. Fans dreamed and speculated what might happen if the two Jaeger pilots ever met, and now Legendary Comics is giving them exactly what they want. Becket and Pentecost were two of the best Jaeger pilots in history, and Earth needs both of them now more than ever in the latest entry in the Pacific Rim franchise.

PakarPBN

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.

In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.

The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
