Since his debut in Letterkenny season 1, episode 4, Jared Keeso’s Shoresy has been a figure whose basic life details remain a mystery. Though he had appeared on several seasons of Letterkenny, it took until Shoresy’s series premiere for his face to finally be shown on-screen. Even though Shoresy has been fleshed out as a compelling, complex character in the spinoff, so much about him is still unknown.

Much of the backstory of his hockey career is vague, the fate of his biological parents has still yet to be addressed, and, the biggest kicker of all, Jared Keeso’s spinoff show has yet to even reveal what Shoresy’s full name is. Since the character’s introduction, he’s only ever been referred to as “Shoresy,” which is a nickname for his surname, “Shore.” His first name, however, is a mystery the show cleverly avoids solving, with Shoresy season 4 even teasing viewers with this lack of knowledge during his BROdude stint.

Anik Introduces Him As “The Man You All Know As ‘Shoresy'”

After a career-ending injury meant he wouldn’t be able to play for the Bulldogs anymore after Shoresy season 3’s ending, the titular character had to look at some new career avenues in season 4. While Nat was focused on convincing him to become a coach, Shoresy chose to spend a good portion of his summer as an on-camera media pundit for BROdude’s “3-on-1” web series with Anik and other guests from the hockey world. This would have been the perfect way to finally confirm Shoresy’s name with his introduction on the web series, but Anik cleverly sidestepped that reveal.

While Anik would always introduce herself and the guests on BROdude’s “3-on-1” using their full names, she never did so for Shoresy. Rather, she would simply introduce Jared Keeso’s character as “The man you all know as ‘Shoresy,’” serving as a meta nod to viewers pointing out our obliviousness to his real name. Though he’s already starred in four seasons of his own spinoff, Shoresy’s full name is a secret Jared Keeso won’t be giving out lightly.

Jared Keeso Is Likely Saving Shoresy’s Name Reveal For A Huge Moment

Now that Shoresy is set to become the Bulldogs’ coach after Shoresy season 4’s ending, his full name might finally be revealed when going through official introductions. However, given how long Keeso has maintained the bit, it seems more likely that the reveal of Shoresy’s real name will be saved for one of the biggest moments of the entire show. Just to humorously frustrate viewers, it wouldn’t be surprising if Keeso kept his full name hidden all the way until Shoresy’s series finale, whenever that may come.
